The First Review of the Star Wars Trilogy On DVD
    Posted by Diggler - 9/9/2004 20:24

The Digital Bits have snagged themselves what appears to be the first look at the new trilogy box set, due out later this month. This is a release that's been begged and pleaded for since the advent of the DVD format many years back - up until now us Star Wars geeks have had to make do with mucky old VHS and Laserdisc versions.

But there's more to it than that. Not content with merely releasing the 1997 Special Editions, George Lucas has worked on even more tweaks and additions for his classic films here. I was always a bigger fan of the originals than the Special Editions, but some of the stuff on offer in this new set does seem much more on the mark.

In fact having seen the new Return of the Jedi myself, I was absolutely blown away at how modern and spotless this new version looks.

The biggest news of all though, is that Greedo now shoots at the same time!
